Hi folks,

You may recall getting an email from us in May about the upcoming 10DLC registration requirements (you can read it here). As things stand now, mobile carriers will begin requiring 10DLC registration for all organizations texting with P2P platforms by October 1st, 2021.

As a reminder, 10DLC, short for 10-digit long code, is a new texting protocol put forward by the wireless carriers to deliver certain types of text messages, like the P2P text messages sent by Scale to Win and all other P2P vendors.

10DLC allows trusted organizations like campaigns and nonprofits to send text messages using verified, local numbers. Carriers designed 10DLC so organizations like yours can continue sending messages, while bad actors sending spam are filtered out. Click here to read our updated article on 10DLC.

Registration for 10DLC is now underway. Any organization sending texts with a P2P texting platform must register before October 1st. To help with this transition, we're adding a new Compliance section to the left side menu in your Spoke admin view. From this page, account owners will be able to enter the required info for 10DLC registration and check registration status.

You can expect the Compliance section to be added to your Spoke account in the coming days.

Note: If you are a consultant, have multiple legal entities, or just have questions about how to register with 10DLC, please schedule a time to talk with us here so we can get your questions answered and ensure proper registration.

Political campaigns, parties, or PACs, please be aware that you’ll also need to register directly with Campaign Verify, the vetting party responsible for confirming identities of political groups, in order to be eligible to text with 10DLC. If you’d like, you can get started with your Campaign Verify registration by heading here now.

We’ll be in touch soon with more updates. As always, feel free to respond to this email with any questions.
