With this update, exports are faster, you can now edit team names, we’ve added protection against sending profanity from your account, and VAN integration is easier to use.
Contact Upload Improvements
Filter out names with profanity: As an added protection from sending out texts with profanity in them, Spoke will filter out contacts during upload whose first names would otherwise populate a slur or something obscene. Filtering will only take place if the name is an exact match to avoid any false positives. (The list we use to flag these contacts is more restricted than Troll Watch, and can be accessed in this article.)
More visibility into opt-outs: After you upload a list, Spoke will now display how many contacts were removed because they were on your opt-out list.
Faster Exports: Exports have gotten much faster, so you can access your data as soon as you need it.
Edit Team Names: Account Owners can now edit the name of Spoke team(s) from the Settings page.
VAN Integration Improvements
Copy Integration Settings: When you copy a campaign connected to a VAN key, the key will now also copy over automatically.
Warning Before Changing Keys: If you change or remove the key selected for a campaign, Spoke will warn you that you will lose any Action Handlers you had applied to scripts or tags, giving you an opportunity to confirm your choice.
VAN Event Sync Statuses: You can now see location and shift information for your VAN events when adding Action Handlers to your scripts.
Action Handlers: To prevent errors, you will only be able to access Action Handlers if you have already selected a VAN key.
Script Variants Improvements: You can now always see your script variants on the campaign’s data display page, even if you have yet to send a message. We’ve also built in extra protections against double sending when using script variants.
