New Features:

  • Canned responses that record data: You can now add tags to your canned responses, for maximum script and data capture flexibility. The tags will save when a texter sends the canned response or closes the conversation. You can read more about this functionality here.
    • Conversation Tags: When a texter selects a tagged canned response, the tags on the canned response will appear in the sidebar as “Conversation Tags”.
    • Clickable tags are now manual tags: To clearly distinguish tags saved by manual clicking and the tags attached to a canned response, clickable tags will now appear to texters as "Manual Tags".
  • Simpler VAN mapping for tags: You can now set default VAN mappings for each of your tags on the “Tags” page. Learn how to use this new feature here.

General improvements:

  • Contacts: You can now access the Contacts section of a campaign even after it has been launched to see what list you uploaded and a live count of how many textable contacts are in your campaign.
    • Better Reporting: If contacts are removed during upload, you’ll see exactly how many were removed and the reason (i.e. opted out, landline). After a campaign has launched, if contacts in the campaign are removed (i.e. suppressed, opted out), the Contacts section will also update to display the current number of textable contacts in the campaign.
    • Faster CSV Uploads: We beefed up our CSV contact loader, so your uploads should load faster. We also made it easier for Chrome to handle larger CSVs.

  • “Choose Reply” button: To help texters navigate to scripts more intuitively, we’ve renamed the script navigation button from “All Responses” to “Choose Reply”.

  • “Close and Save” button: To draw attention to the full functionality of the “Close” button, we’ve renamed it “Close and Save”. Texters can use this button to move a conversation out of their “needs response” queue. They can also use it to save a survey response or the tags on a canned response without sending the accompanying script.

  • S3 / Bigquery updates: If you utilize our S3 or BigQuery sync, you now have access to the mobile carrier associated with each contact you upload as well as some additional insight into the VAN sync.

Bug fixes:

  • 504s and slowness: We fixed an issue that caused occasional 503 & 504 error pages. This change should also mean your Spoke account is running noticeably faster!

  • Incongruent contact totals: Prior to this release, the contact total on the Campaigns / Home page would occasionally not match the number of contacts shown inside the “Contacts'' section of your campaign. This issue has been fixed, and these two totals will be congruent going forward.
