Hi all,
We’re excited to let you know about one new feature and a few tweaks in the STW Dialer that you may have noticed when you logged in today. These are all minor changes that we simply hope will make your and your callers’ lives easier.
1. New “Settings” Menu
In the admin interface of your dialer organization, you may have seen the new “Settings” tab on the left-hand side of your screen. In this tab, you’ll be able to edit your dialer organization’s display name (the name displayed in the top left-hand corner of your admin interface), default area code for the phone numbers used to make your calls, and default calling hours, if/when you wish to. We’ll be adding more setting options to this tab in the months to come.
2. Improved Explanation of Calling Modes
You’ll also notice some updated language on the page that callers see when they first get started making calls. We’ve renamed the “Call with computer” and “Call with computer & phone” buttons, as seen below, to make it more clear that callers can use a computer, smartphone, or tablet to access the dialer. We hope the revised language adds extra clarity!
3. Added Reminders for Callers
Finally, we’ve added a few helpful reminders for callers in various parts of the dialer, including:
On the screen where callers enter their name and phone number before they start dialing, we’ve added help text to make clear that this info will never be shown to the people they’re calling, just the organization or campaign with whom they’re making calls.
The audio recording that callers hear when they connect to the dialer now gives them a reminder to press the “Start Calling” button on their screen, to make sure callers actually start their calling session.
On the screen that callers see while waiting for their next call, in addition to the corny jokes currently displayed, we’ve added in some tips for using the dialer.
