Using the Checkbox Question Type, your callers can select multiple answers to a prompt within a single question.

You might use this question type, e.g., to ask contacts which issues matter most to them in an upcoming election, or ask volunteers which event shifts they plan to attend.

Answers

Creating this question type is nearly identical to creating a Single Choice question in your Call Script. Just select  “Checkboxes” in the Question Type drop down menu and add as many answers as you’d like.

Van Integration

With this question type, you can attach activist codes to each of your responses. In the above example, if the voter we’re talking to indicates that Climate Change and Criminal legal reform are their top issues, so long as activist codes have been connected to the answers in script set up, both activist codes will sync back to VAN.

Reporting

You can view results for your Checkbox (and all other questions) on the View Results step of your campaign.

Answers to Checkbox Questions will appear very similar to Single Choice—displaying as a bar graph. Bar graphs will display the number of times an answer was selected. Remember, since respondents can give more than one answer to Checkbox style questions, the number of checkbox answers may be greater than the number of individuals who answered the question.
