The single choice question type, sometimes referred to as “radio buttons,” is a survey question where the caller will select one (and only one) option from the selections given to move forward in the script.

Importing Questions Directly from VAN

When using a VAN integration, you also have the option to import Survey Questions and Survey Responses directly from VAN. This can be particularly helpful if you’ve previously been using OpenVPB phone banks to make calls.

To pull questions directly from VAN, first click “Import Question from NGP VAN.”  Note, this option will only be available to you if you’ve previously saved a VAN integration to this particular calling campaign.

In the NGP VAN Survey Question drop down, choose which Survey Question and additional information you would like to import (i.e. Survey Question Name, question script, and survey responses.)

Should you prefer, you can also create your answers manually as outlined above and map answers to VAN survey questions individually.

Note that each single choice survey question can only map answers back to survey question answers from a single VAN survey question. Should you wish to sync back answers from a variety of VAN survey questions, simply add additional single choice answer questions to your script.

Remember, if you decide to import a question after editing the Question script, make sure to toggle the option to import question script off, so your drafted script isn’t overwritten.
