Large organizations with teams can control how much their groups text with our credits system. This system allows the account owner to allot and cap a number of segments their teams can send. Once a Spoke team has used up their allotted segments, they are prevented from sending additional texts. This feature also provides a solution for campaigns or organizations that simply want to enforce spending limits.
What are credits? A credit corresponds to a message segment. Credits simply represent a limit to the number of segments a team can send. You are not charged for allotting credits to a Spoke team. You are only charged for the actual segments sent on your Spoke teams, which you can track on their respective Usage pages.
Once a Spoke team has used up their allotted segments, they are prevented from sending additional texts. Texters will see a banner stating “Insufficient Credits” instead of the “Send” button. Superadmin, Admins, and Owners will receive an email notification that credits on the account have been exhausted.

How much is 1 credit? In Spoke, 1 credit = 1 segment. So if you want to be able to send 100 segments, you will add 100 credits.
How do I turn on credits? To begin the process of enabling Credits for a team, you can go to the Settings page for that team and toggle on "Use credits to control outbound texting". Please then reach out to us at support@scaletowin.com to complete the set-up process.

Who can add, remove, and view credits? Users with Superadmin status can access the Credits feature from the Global Settings page. Click on Global Settings, then on Credits. This will pull up a list of your teams and their remaining credits. If you are an account owner and need Superadmin status, please reach out to us at support@scaletowin.com.

Use this page to add credits or view and remove credits:
To add credits, click on the card icon beneath the “Add Credit” heading. This will open a pop-up where you can add credits to the team. The pop-up includes a calculator to let you estimate how many credits you’ll need for the texts you intend to send.

To see more information about credit allotments for a team, click on the bank icon under “View Credit Purchases”. This will open a pop-up called “Credit Purchases” showing each instance where credits were added, who added them, and when they were added. You can remove credits by clicking the trash can icon next to the entry.
