The ActionKit integration enables you to upload ActionKit reports directly into text campaigns. For short code users, it will also allow you to sync opt-ins to your short code subscriber list.
Set up your ActionKit Integration
Step 1 : Getting The Credentials
Log into your ActionKit account by going to your ActionKit web domain (ex. stw.actionkit.com). Go to Staff and Select Add Staff User. Create a new User and save username and password. Once the User is created, go to Permissions and enable the following:
Active Account
Admin Interface
Superuser Status.
Step 2 : Adding Credentials
Navigate to the Integrations page in Scale to Win Text and click on Add New Integration and select ActionKit.
This will prompt you to name the integration. If you have multiple ActionKit accounts enter a name that easily distinguishes between accounts so that you know which to select when importing contacts for a campaign.
Next, fill out the required fields with your ActionKit user credentials:
Username (Note: use the username, not the email)
Password
ActionKit Web Domain
Once the credentials are uploaded, you’ll know the integration is successfully configured if no error message is returned.
Step 3 : Load Contacts
Syncing ActionKit Short Code Opt-ins to Scale to Win Text (Webhook Setup)
The ActionKit webhook allows you to sync any short code opt-ins you've collected in ActionKit to your Scale to Win Text account.
Note: this feature is only available if you have an activated short code number on your account.
Step 1: Enable the Webhook
Go to the Integrations page.
Navigate to your ActionKit Integration and click the pencil icon under Actions.
At the bottom of the modal, enable the short code subscriber webhook.
Click View Webhook URL and copy the Endpoint URL.
Note: The Webhook URL contains sensitive information, including the ActionKit password you set up in Step 1. Be cautious when sharing or storing this URL to protect your data.
Step 2: Add the Webhook in Actionkit
Log in to your ActionKit account.
Go to Pages.
Navigate to the right-hand sidebar, click Other.
Select Edit Push API Endpoints.
Step 3: Editing Push API Endpoints
Click Add Endpoint in the top left of the page.
In the URL field, paste the Endpoint URL from Scale to Win Text.
In the Name field, enter a name for this webhook (e.g., “Scale to Win”).
Leave the Triggers field blank.
Set the Rate Limit field to 100 (the default).
Set the Retries field to 10.
Click Save to complete the setup.
Note: After adding the endpoint, a red “Not Connected” warning may appear. Refresh the page – if the warning turns green, the connection to Scale to Win was successful. If the read warning persists, there is a problem with the endpoint setup. Double-check the URL for accuracy. If problems continue, reach out to Scale to Win for support: support@scaletowin.com.
Step 4: Confirm the Connection in Scale to Win Text
Go back to the ActionKit Integration in Scale to Win Text and click Edit.
You should see a green check mark with the message “Connected to ActionKit” along with a timestamp.
The “Last form received" field will be blank.
Step 5: Connect the Webhook to an ActionKit Page
Important: This integration should only be configured for ActionKit pages that are set up to collect short code opt-ins with the appropriate "call to action" disclaimer. The integration does not verify how opt-ins were obtained. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all short code regulations and standards.
Now that the webhook connection between ActionKit and Scale to Win Text is established, you’ll need to link the endpoint to any ActionKit pages that contain a short code opt-in form. Return to your ActionKit account and navigate to Pages.
If you haven’t created your ActionKit page(s) yet, pause here and create them before continuing.
Click into the page for which you want to set up the opt-in sync and navigate to the After-action info section at the top of the page.
Scroll to the bottom and click the arrow to expand the “Push API” section.
In the “Push API” section, check “Send Pushes”.
Select your newly created Scale to Win endpoint in the “Endpoints” field.
Click Save.
Repeat this process for any additional pages that collect short code subscriber opt-ins.
You have now successfully connected your new Scale to Win webhook endpoint to your ActionKit page. From now on, all future sign-ups through that page will be automatically added to your short code subscriber list in Scale to Win Text.
Setting up the Webhook on Global ActionKit Pages
Important: This integration assumes your ActionKit pages are configured to gather short code opt-ins using the appropriate "call to action" disclaimer. The integration does not verify how opt-ins were acquired. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all short code regulations and standards. Once you’ve selected your global "Triggers", any page type on the trigger list, whether created today or in the future, will automatically add contacts to your short code subscriber list in Scale to Win Text.
To attach your Scale to Win webhook endpoint to a global page type, please follow the instructions below:
Log in to your ActionKit account and navigate to Pages.
On the right-hand menu, click Other, then click Edit Push API Endpoints.
Click into your newly created Scale to Win endpoint.
Leave all fields as they are, and then navigate to the “Triggers” section.
In the “Triggers” field, select the type of form(s) that should always be submitted to Scale to Win.
Click Save and refresh to verify the connection.
