Overview
The Response Script Import feature allows you to draft Response Scripts in a Google Sheet and import it directly into your Scale to Win Text campaigns and Global Response Scripts page.

Prepare Your Google Sheet to Import

  1. We recommend you make a copy of this Script Import Template to build your Response Scripts.

  2. Give permissions to customer-imports@scaletowin.com to view the sheet.  To do this, click the Share button on the top right corner of your Google Sheet and add the above email as a Viewer

  1. Create two tabs in your Google Sheet; title the first tab ”Setup”,  and title the second tab “Response Scripts”.

  2. On the Setup Tab: Add your script group names and any (optional) Tags you want to include with your Response Scripts.

    1. All Response Scripts require a group - you can enter existing groups here or create new ones.

    2. Any Tags you include must match the names of your existing Tags  exactly.

  1. On the Response Scripts Tab: Add the Title, Script, and any (optional) Tags or Keywords you wish to include.

    1. Add one script per line. Each column is a part of the script that you’re uploading. The definitions of those parts are at the bottom of this guide.

    2. Add any associated Tags (optional) and select one or more Response Groups (at least one Response Group is required).

Note: Groups and Tags will only appear on your Response Scripts tab if they were added to the Setup tab in your sheet.

  1. Include any keywords (optional) you want to associate with a Response Script.

Note: You can import up to 1000 scripts per Google Sheet.

Response Scripts Column Definitions

Title: The title of your script (it is not sent to contacts)

Script: The message that is sent to the contact. To include contact fields, use double curly braces, like {{first_name}}. You can use {{first_name}} and {{last_name}} in any campaign. You can use other fields, and these will become required fields for campaigns that use your script. Learn more about script templating using Liquid here.

Tags: Select one or more tags to apply automatically to contacts when this script is sent. Tags must match the names of tags in your subaccount exactly. Texters will be able to add or remove tags manually, if needed.

Response Group: The group the response will be placed in (e.g. “Survey Responses,” “Generic Responses,” “Supporter ID,” etc). You must select at least one group.

Keywords (comma separated): Keywords are words or phrases that will automatically trigger this response script if a contact replies with the keyword. Leave this blank if you don't want to automatically send this script. Review our guide on Keyword Autoresponders for further information.

Notes (not imported) - You can use this column to make any internal notes for your team. These are not imported into Scale to Win Text. Notes are great for scripts that need to be reviewed.
